Arroyo Parkway Project

Construction on the Arroyo Pipeline Project resumed Monday, January 30 and will continue Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. until completed. Crews will install 2,400 feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main on Arroyo Parkway. Work will begin at California Boulevard and will continue north, one block at a time, to Cordova Street.  Temporary traffic control and detour signs will be posted at all times during construction. Please note businesses in the area will remain open and accessible during construction.

Pasadena Water and Power is replacing the existing eight-inch water main located along Arroyo Parkway.

The existing water main is over 90 years old, and the replacement and improvement of infrastructure will increase the reliability and quality of water service. To minimize the impact of this project on residents and businesses in the area, construction efforts will be contained to approximately one block at a time. Construction will intermittently affect water service, but notices of any water interruption will be provided at least 48 hours in advance; special efforts will be taken to minimize customer inconvenience. During construction, a variety of heavy equipment will be used including excavators, backhoes, loaders, and construction trucks. Temporary traffic control and detour signs will be posted at all times during construction. Most work will occur Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please note businesses in the area will remain open and accessible during construction.
