CA Water Boards Adopts New Conservation Regulation
Recently, the California State Water Boards adopted an emergency water conservation regulation now in effect to ensure more aggressive conservation efforts across the state. This new regulation requires that all commercial, industrial, and institutional customers stop watering non-functional turf with potable water. However, the regulation does specify that any trees located in areas of non-functional turf should continue to be watered and maintained. More information can be found on the Board’s Water Conservation Emergency Regulations webpage.
PWP urges customers to continue to follow all local requirements of Pasadena’s Level 2 Water Supply Shortage. Learn more about this regulation, and access the state’s Frequently Asked Questions on the Board's Water Conservation Emergency Regulations webpage.
