Green Living Curriculum - Second Grade

Each school year, PWP partners with the Department of Public Works to bring the Green Living Curriculum to more than 1,200 second grade students in the Pasadena Unified School District.

The six-week classroom visitation program introduces students to core concepts such as recycling and conservation, and teaches them simple ways to reduce waste and become better environmental stewards.

The program’s mission is to inspire young students to recycle and conserve, and encourage the adults in their lives to do the same. All program curriculum aligns with common core and state standards.
