Infrastructure Improvement Updates for August 2024

Pasadena Water and Power posted several updates to on-going infrastructure improvement projects:

• Glenarm Street Water Main Replacement – Nighttime construction is scheduled from August 19 to August 23. The contractor on this project will be working on the tie-in connection of the existing water mainline to the new water mainline in the intersection of Glenarm Street and Arroyo Parkway from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Some customers may experience temporary water outage(s) and will be given notice at least 48-hours in advance.
• El Mirador Tower Fire Mitigation Project – Substantial overhead work was completed by a contractor as of June 10th, with additional underground work performed by internal crews in the month of July. Information technology contractors will be installing fiber optic communication lines for future City use later in the year.
• Distribution Voltage Conversion Projects - The 17kv conversion at Temple Alley was completed on June 24.
