Bill Assistance Programs for Income-Qualifying Households
Pasadena Water and Power (PWP), in partnership with the Maravilla Foundation, offers two bill assistance programs to income-qualifying PWP customers: the Low Income Housing Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) and the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
Low Income Housing Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP)
LIHWAP is a federally-funded program that offers a one-time payment of up to $2,000 to help pay outstanding bills for residential water costs. The amount of assistance that customers may receive will depend on the balance of the household’s water bills. Households whose utility payments are included in their rent may also be eligible for LIHWAP.
To participate, PWP customers must apply directly to the Maravilla Foundation, the local service provider selected by the state to help the City of Pasadena implement the program.
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
This program assists income-qualified families with utility bills. Eligible applicants will receive credit towards their utility bill. Dollar amounts may vary depending on household and income requirements.
To participate, PWP customers must apply directly to the Maravilla Foundation.
