Medical Assistance
Residential electric customers with qualifying electric powered medical equipment (see below) can receive $10 per month credit on their bill. To request a copy of the application, please call 626.744.4005, log in to your account in the PWP Customer Information System, or visit any of the following centers below (by appointment only).

Please Note: Customers may only participate in one PWP bill payment assistance program at any one time. May not combine the Medical Assistance benefit with EUAP, CARES or CARES Plus benefits.

All customers who depend upon electrically-operated medical or life-support equipment for survival should be prepared with a back-up generator or other plans necessary to ensure their health and welfare during power outages. To update your contact information or inform PWP of your medical device needs, call us at 626.744.4005.
How to Apply for the Medical Assistance Program through the Customer Portal
- Log in to your MyMeter Account, or select the Create an Account and enter the required information.
- Once in the customer portal, select the house icon at top of the screen, then select Program Applications and Service Requests.
- Select Medical Assistance Application from the drop down menu.
- Complete the application, upload the required documentation, including a doctor’s note on official letterhead and a clear photo of a non-expired government ID, and click the submit button.
