Thank You for Joining Us for Public Power Week

Earlier this month, Pasadena Water and Power successfully celebrated Public Power Week 2024 with a week's worth of events that saw dozens of attendees and participants. The nationally-recognized week is designed to promote the benefits of publicly-owned utilities and the communities they support. Below are some highlights from the week:

Storytime and Touch-a-Truck with a Lineman

On October 8, two Pasadena Water and Power Linemen read a book to young children at Jefferson Branch. The event also featured an opportunity to see a real PWP bucket truck in person.

Electric Circuit Activity

On Wednesday, October 9, PWP staff were at Lamanda Park Library Branch for an evening Electric Circuit Activity. The event featured an open playtime with special electronic circuit toys that helped students understand the basic science behind electrical circuits.
