PWP Announces Winners of Annual Academic Scholarship
Each year, Pasadena Water and Power chooses two high school seniors from Pasadena for an academic scholarship. First place is awarded a $5,000 scholarship while second place is awarded $2,500. The program is open to students from both public and private schools. This year, students were asked to write an essay citing research about the statewide drought, including recommendations to preserve the long-term water supply.
2023 Educational Scholarship Winners - Dario Soatto and Anton Perez
The PWP 2023 Educational Scholarship first-place winner is Dario Soatto, a senior at Polytechnic School. Dario plans to attend Stanford University in the fall studying economics and political science. Click here to read his winning essay.
The PWP 2023 Educational Scholarship second-place winner is Anton Perez. Anton is a senior at Pasadena High School. He plans to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he will double major in mathematics and philosophy. Click here to read his winning essay.
