Raymond Avenue Water Services Project

Pipe construction in an open trench

Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) is renewing water service on Raymond Avenue from Montana Street to Penn Street.

Renewing the services will increase the overall reliability and quality of water service in Pasadena. The objective is to transition customer water service lines from an antiquated, riveted steel main installed in 1913 to a more modern ductile iron water main installed in 1991. Upon completion of disconnecting all service lines from the old water main, the main will be decommissioned. Construction work will occur Monday thru Friday. Working hours on Raymond Avenue are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The project is expected to be completed in August 2024.

During construction, a variety of heavy equipment will be used including excavators, backhoes, loaders, and construction trucks. Traffic signs and delineators will be employed to minimize the impact on traffic flow along Raymond Avenue. Please observe and adhere to posted no parking zones, construction signs, and flagmen. Special efforts will be taken to keep inconveniences to a minimum.
