Power IRP Virtual Community Meeting on April 27

Sidney Jackson, General Manager of Water and Power, and the department invite the community to join the Power Integrated Resource Plan ("IRP") Virtual Community Meeting on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The meeting will be held on Zoom, and a link to the meeting can be accessed through the link below. Pasadena Water and Power ("PWP") is updating the IRP and this meeting is the second in a series of public meetings that will be held throughout 2023.

For over 20 years, PWP has developed IRPs that address the fundamental goals of maintaining a reliable power supply portfolio to meet customer needs, and meeting or exceeding sustainability goals and mandates while minimizing electric rate impacts and volatility. An IRP is an energy resource planning document that helps publicly owned utilities lay out their resource needs, policy goals, physical and operational constraints, and proposed resource choices. The IRP serves as a roadmap for PWP to deliver reliable, environmentally responsible electricity service at competitive rates over a 25-year planning period.
