Transmission Vault Restoration

The City’s Power Delivery Division will be conducting intermittent system maintenance to restore vaults carrying critical transmission.

Timeline and Location

Work will take place from 9 p.m. to 12 p.m. (Noon) the following day, for a select few days per location, during the months of October 2024 through May 2025.

This work will take place at select power vault locations within the Public Right of Way, spanning approximately 4.5 miles and covering 30 vaults across the city. No work will occur during the holiday or citywide moratorium periods. Please refer to the map below.

Maintenance is scheduled overnight to allow for de-energizing transmission circuits in the vaults, however there will be no power outages for customers directly. Noise will be kept to a minimum and under ordinance limits, with only a generator running at each site. Traffic impacts will be minimal, with single-lane closures and standard traffic control in place. The work is confined to within the power vaults with no excavation required on the street.
